Everyone has experienced a bout of “ blues” at some point. But clinical , which affects 19 million Americans each year, can often mean years of feeling helpless, hopeless sad. Many are helped by antidepressant medications, but what are alternatives when medications don’t work? A new non-drug therapy is now being tested at Emory.

Background

This VNR features a patient who has suffered from depression for a number of years is exploring other alternatives because medications didn’t work for her. She recently enrolled in the TMS study at Emory.
